Future research may explore the differences in technostress perceived by employees in different industries, different ownership types, and different marketing strategies. Objectives: Technostress is an emergent phenomenon related to the pervasive use of technology and is associated with the increased computerisation and digitalisation seen over recent decades. This cross-sectional observational study aims to investigate the impact that stress from the use of technologies (i.e. technostress) has on the productivity and life of an individual. Technostress is actually not the latest malady in a series of technology-induced syndromes. In fact, it’s an umbrella term that encompasses all negative psychological effects that result from Technostress—defined as stress that individuals experience due to their use of Information Systems—represents an emerging phenomenon of scholarly investigation. It examines how and why the use of IS causes individuals to experience various demands that they find stressful.
